ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is a private, non-profit Catholic institution located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø seeks authorization or exemption in U.S. states and territories in compliance with federal and state regulation that govern offering online educational programs. Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University continuously monitors regulations that govern online education at the state and federal level. Pursuant with C.F.R. 600.9(c), the University is in the process of making good faith efforts to identify and obtain necessary State authorizations for online learning.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has been approved by the Louisiana Board of Regents to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Participation in NC-SARA is voluntary and serves as a regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. NC-SARA was created to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state. Visit to see if your state participates in NC-SARA.

ALABAMA

Alabama is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of NC-SARA. Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana's NC-SARA membership. Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is permitted to offer online distance education courses to students of Alabama under the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is not pursuing authorization from the Alabama Board of Nursing at this time. This webpage will be updated if Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University decides to pursue authorization in the future.

ALASKA

Alaska is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Alaska.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Alaska State Board of Nursing. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is required to report any student of Alaska enrolled in our RN to BSN distance education program to the Alaska Board of Nursing and the student must have an unencumbered RN license in a state or territory of the US. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has state approval in the State of Louisiana.

ARIZONA

Arizona is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Arizona.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Arizona State Board of Nursing. The Arizona State Board of Nursing does not have jurisdiction over RN to BSN programs, generic master's programs not leading to advanced practice certification and generic doctoral programs not leading to advanced practice certification. Therefore, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø can offer online courses to residents of Arizona.

ARKANSAS

Arkansas is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Arkansas.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Post-licensure online programs are only required to seek certification from the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. There are no requirements for the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.

CALIFORNIA

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Because ºÚÁÏÉçÇø does not have a physical presence in California, it does not need to seek approval from the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education to offer online classes to residents of California.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the State Board of Nursing in California. The California Board of Nursing has no jurisdiction over post RN education so there are no registration requirements with this board. Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University only needs to follow its own requirements to place RN students in California.

COLORADO

Colorado is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Colorado.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the State Board of Nursing in Colorado which has no jurisdiction over post licensure nursing education programs. Therefore, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is permitted to offer such courses in Colorado.

CONNECTICUT

Connecticut is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Connecticut.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Connecticut Board of Examiners for Nursing. As per the Connecticut Board of Examiners for Nursing, there is no licensure requirement for ºÚÁÏÉçÇø online RN to BSN program for Connecticut.

DELAWARE

Delaware is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Delaware.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Delaware State Board of Nursing through the Delaware Department of State; Division of Professional Regulation says that Delaware regulates only undergraduate pre-licensure programs. Therefore, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is not required to be registered to offer the RN to BSN program online with the Delaware State Board of Nursing.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

The District of Columbia (DC) is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana's SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer distance education to residents of the District of Columbia.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the District of Columbia (DC) Board of Nursing. The DC Board of Nursing does not currently regulate RN-BSN programs.

FLORIDA

Florida is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Florida.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Florida Board of Nursing. Out-of-state distance learning and post-licensure programs are not required to secure authorization from the Florida Board of Nursing. Programs that have attained ACEN or CCNE accreditation are not under the jurisdiction of the Florida Board of Nursing.

GEORGIA

Georgia is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Georgia.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Georgia State Board of Nursing. The Georgia State Board of Nursing does not require Board approval for post-licensure programs.

HAWAII

Hawaii is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana's SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Hawaii.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Hawaii Board of Nursing. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø inquired if approval is necessary for ºÚÁÏÉçÇø to offer online courses to the students of Hawaii. Hawaii does not approve out-of-state or distance learning RN to BSN programs.

IDAHO

Idaho is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Idaho.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø contacted the Idaho Board of Nursing. It is not necessary to register or be approved by the Idaho Board of Nursing since the courses offered are post-licensure, the courses are completely online and because ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is not located in Idaho.

ILLINOIS

Illinois is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Illinois.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation which regulates nursing. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional regulates pre-licensure programs. RN to BSN programs are not regulated by IDFPR.

INDIANA

Indiana is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Indiana.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Indiana State Board of Nursing. The Indiana State Board of Nursing does not review or accredit RN to BSN programs or any graduate level nursing programs.

IOWA

Iowa is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Iowa.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Iowa State Board of Nursing. The Iowa Board of Nursing does not approve out-of-state nursing programs but will accept an out-of-state program from another state if it is considered an approved program.

KANSAS

Kansas is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Kansas.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Kansas State Board of Nursing. The Kansas State Board of Nursing only gets involved in post-secondary education when the program leads to a second licensure. The RN to BSN online program offered by ºÚÁÏÉçÇø does not lead to second licensure.

KENTUCKY

Kentucky is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Kentucky.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Kentucky Board of Nursing and is not required to be registered because the Kentucky Board of Nursing does not regulate RN to BSN programs.

LOUISIANA

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is physically located in the state of Louisiana. It is authorized by the Board of Regents in that state to offer online programs. Additionally, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is authorized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to offer on-ground and online courses to residents of Louisiana.

MAINE

Maine is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Maine.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Maine State Board of Nursing. Since the programs offered are not pre-licensure, the Board does not have the authority to approve or accredit.

MARYLAND

Maryland is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana's SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online courses to residents of Maryland.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Maryland Board of Nursing. The Maryland Board of Nursing does not have authority to approve programs operating in Maryland.

MASSACHUSETTS

Massachusetts is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Board of Education also approves nursing programs. Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University was requested to send information regarding the nursing program for review. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø received correspondence indicating that based on the information provided to the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, it doesn't appear to need approval to offer courses to Massachusetts' students.

MICHIGAN

Michigan is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to Michigan students.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Michigan State Board of Nursing and is approved to offer online courses to Michigan students.

MINNESOTA

Minnesota is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of NC-SARA. Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana's NC-SARA membership. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is permitted to offer online distance education courses to residents of Minnesota under the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is not pursuing authorization from the Minnesota Board of Nursing at this time. This webpage will be updated if Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University decides to pursue authorization in the future.

MISSISSIPPI

Mississippi is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Mississippi.

MISSOURI

MONTANA

NEBRASKA

Nebraska is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Nebraska.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Nebraska State Board of Nursing. Nebraska only approves initial licensure programs. Nebraska does not endorse or approve post-licensure programs. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø may offer postsecondary online courses to residents of Nebraska.

NEVADA

Nevada is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Nevada.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Nevada State Board of Nursing. The Nevada State Board of Nursing does not regulate post-licensure programs RN to BSN and graduate programs.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Board of Nursing does not regulate any post-licensure programs but does request that their office be notified of any New Hampshire students enrolled in a nursing program or course. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø may offer courses to residents of New Hampshire.

NEW JERSEY

New Jersey is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of New Jersey.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the New Jersey Board of Nursing. The New Jersey Board of Nursing does not regulate post entry level nursing education programs.

NEW MEXICO

New Mexico is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of New Mexico.

The New Mexico Board of Nursing's rules only apply to pre-licensure programs, not to RN to BSN. Therefore, there is no need to register with the New Mexico Board of Nursing.

NEW YORK

New York is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of New York.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the New York State Board of Nursing. If the nursing program does not result in a change of title [i.e. RN, NP, Nurse Midwife] then the student can access clinical placement without the college/university having "permission to operate" in the state of New York. A licensed RN in an upper division B.S. program also fits this category. Therefore, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University may offer New York students the RN to BSN program online.

NORTH CAROLINA

North Carolina is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of North Carolina.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) which approves and regulates pre-licensure nursing education programs in the State of North Carolina. NCBON does not have any jurisdiction over any other programs including RN to BSN programs. Therefore, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University does not need to seek authorization from this board to offer online distance learning courses.

NORTH DAKOTA

North Dakota is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of North Dakota.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the North Dakota Board of Nursing. At this time, the North Dakota Board of Nursing does not monitor or recognize post-licensure programs (RN to BSN).

OHIO

Ohio is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Ohio.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Ohio State Board of Nursing. The Board does not regulate or approve post-licensure nursing programs.

OKLAHOMA

The Oregon State Board of Nursing does not currently regulate post-licensure programs unless the program leads to a new level of certification/licensure such as advanced practice program (nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, registered nurse anesthetist).

OREGON

Oregon is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Oregon.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Oregon State Board of Nursing. The Oregon State Board of Nursing does not currently regulate post-licensure programs unless the program leads to a new level of certification/licensure such as advanced practice program (nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, registered nurse anesthetist).

PENNSYLVANIA

Pennsylvania is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Pennsylvania.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Professional & Occupational Affairs. This board does not regulate RN to BSN programs. Therefore, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø does not need to register with this department.

RHODE ISLAND

Rhode Island is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Rhode Island.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Rhode Island State Board of Nursing. As per Twila McInnis, Director of the Board of Nursing Registration and Education, Rhode Island does not oversee out-of-state nursing education according to the Rhode Island Rules and Regulations. She did say that it was important that ºÚÁÏÉçÇø be approved by a recognized professional nursing organization. ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is recognized by ACEN.

SOUTH CAROLINA

South Carolina is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of South Carolina.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. The South Carolina State Board of Nursing does not regulate RN to BSN programs as they do not lead to initial licensure as a registered nurse.

SOUTH DAKOTA

South Dakota is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of South Dakota.

TENNESSEE

TEXAS

Texas is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Texas.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Texas Board of Nursing. The Texas Board of Nursing indicates post-licensure programs are not regulated by the Texas Board of Nursing, nor are there guidelines, as the Board only has jurisdiction over pre-licensure nursing education programs only. The Texas Board of Nursing also stated "According to the university website, the school is approved by the Louisiana Board of Nursing and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as well as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Achievement of these quality indicators confirm the program has met rigorous standards and criteria for educational quality." The Texas Board of Nursing recommends that all nurses practicing in Texas, including nursing students and nurse educators, familiarize themselves with the Texas Nursing Practice Act (NPA) and Board Rules and Regulations. The most current versions of the NPA and Board Rules are available in their entirety on the Board website, www.bon.texas.gov, in the Nursing Law and Rules section.

UTAH

Utah is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Utah.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Utah State Board of Nursing. Since ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is not offering a pre-licensure program to Utah students it is not required to submit anything to the State of Utah.

VERMONT

Vermont is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Vermont.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Vermont State Board of Nursing. Out-of-state distance programs (pre-licensure and post-licensure) are not under the jurisdiction of the Vermont Board of Nursing when offering program(s) to Vermont residents. Therefore, prior approval of our nursing program (pre-licensure and/or post-licensure) is not required.

VIRGINIA

Virginia is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Virginia.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Virginia Board of Nursing. The Virginia Board of Nursing has no authority for the approval and oversight of post-licensure nursing education programs, Therefore, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University would not need to register with the Virginia Board of Nursing for its RN to BSN program.

WASHINGTON

Washington is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Washington.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is not currently seeking authorization from the Washington Board of Nursing at this time. This page will be updated if Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University seeks authorization in the future.

WEST VIRGINIA

West Virginia is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of West Virginia.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the West Virginia Board of Nursing. The West Virginia RN Board approves and regulates entry level programs pursuant to Chapter 30-7 et seq. and the Code of Legislative Rules Title 19-01 but does not regulate post-graduate programs. Therefore, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is not required to become registered with the West Virginia Board of Nursing.

WISCONSIN

Wisconsin is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Wisconsin.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Wisconsin Board of Nursing. The Wisconsin Board of Nursing code states only out-of-state schools preparing students for practical nurse licensure or registered nurse licensure must be approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing. RN to BSN, MSN, APRN or other post-graduate nursing programs currently do not require Wisconsin Board of Nursing approval unless the school grants a certificate for practical nurse licensure or professional nurse licensure when a student has completed the portion of the program equivalent to a diploma. Since ºÚÁÏÉçÇø does not grant a certificate for practical nurse licensure or professional nurse licensure when a student completes the portion of program equivalent to a diploma, the University is not required to request approval from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.

WYOMING

Wyoming is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and Louisiana is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). ºÚÁÏÉçÇø is an approved institution under Louisiana SARA membership and as such, is permitted to offer online distance education to residents of Wyoming.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has contacted the Wyoming Board of Nursing. The Wyoming Board of Nursing does not approve post-licensure programs and only requires that an institution be registered with the Wyoming Department of Education.
